Here are a few pictures of the cake
I was talking about in my last post.

In case you haven't noticed, I am lazy about posting stuff on my blog. This will just be a quick update, breezing over this past week. Let's see...
  • Friday... I spent just about every waking minute decorating a three-tiered birthday cake. (like a wedding cake, but pink) It turned out rather pretty and I was pleased with it. I think Emily, aka Jumbo Shrimp, posted a picture of it on her blog, but I'm not sure. Perhaps I'll post one of my own later but I'm too lazy at the moment. Anyway, it took all day because I made a lot of flowers out of royal icing and needed to wait for them to dry. In case you didn't know, royal icing is icing that hardens like candy, so you can make cool flowers like daisies that would be impossible to make with normal buttercream icing.
  • Saturday... I spent the entire day slaving over a wretched speech outline that would not cooperate. It was awful, because I needed to get a lot done to make up for the total lack of homework accomplished Friday.
  • Sunday...those of you who talked to me Sunday probably noticed the fact that I was freaking out over my homework. After church, I worked like mad to try and finish not only my speech outline, but also all my other homework. Then E, K, and j went to hang out with friends, and I was wretched. Then mom and dad went on a drive to check on our beehive and I was even more wretched. THEN Jonathan went to a symphony with friends, and I went and put on my Eeyore earrings to express my deep state of wretchedness. (I had been invited to the symphony also but turned it down like a good little nerd to do my homework. The fact that I was invited helped a little, but only a little) Home alone with nobody but my Eeyore earrings and some flat soda to comfort me, I finished my homework. I even had time to clean my room. I doubt anyone really cares...
  • Monday...absolutely nothing exciting happened.
  • Tuesday...a good day. A friend of mine and his brother showed up at school with bright green hair and a wacky outfit that included girls' bright green sweatpants. (They couldn't find guys green sweatpants, so they wore girls' with shorts over them. One guy offered to give his sweatpants to me when he was done with them...but I passed. Thanks...but no thanks.) Most of my speech class did not show up. It is an evening class, so they were probably off somewhere getting drunk. All day everyone was talking about getting drunk, what different beers taste like, which ones make you belch, green beer, pubs...Oy. I gave a thrilling speech about the evils of margarine, and it went better than expected. To cap off the day, my unicycle arrived. : )
  • Today...I have mastered the art of riding off a curb on a unicycle. Thus ends my blog post.
