- Friday... I spent just about every waking minute decorating a three-tiered birthday cake. (like a wedding cake, but pink) It turned out rather pretty and I was pleased with it. I think Emily, aka Jumbo Shrimp, posted a picture of it on her blog, but I'm not sure. Perhaps I'll post one of my own later but I'm too lazy at the moment. Anyway, it took all day because I made a lot of flowers out of royal icing and needed to wait for them to dry. In case you didn't know, royal icing is icing that hardens like candy, so you can make cool flowers like daisies that would be impossible to make with normal buttercream icing.
- Saturday... I spent the entire day slaving over a wretched speech outline that would not cooperate. It was awful, because I needed to get a lot done to make up for the total lack of homework accomplished Friday.
- Sunday...those of you who talked to me Sunday probably noticed the fact that I was freaking out over my homework. After church, I worked like mad to try and finish not only my speech outline, but also all my other homework. Then E, K, and j went to hang out with friends, and I was wretched. Then mom and dad went on a drive to check on our beehive and I was even more wretched. THEN Jonathan went to a symphony with friends, and I went and put on my Eeyore earrings to express my deep state of wretchedness. (I had been invited to the symphony also but turned it down like a good little nerd to do my homework. The fact that I was invited helped a little, but only a little) Home alone with nobody but my Eeyore earrings and some flat soda to comfort me, I finished my homework. I even had time to clean my room. I doubt anyone really cares...
- Monday...absolutely nothing exciting happened.
- Tuesday...a good day. A friend of mine and his brother showed up at school with bright green hair and a wacky outfit that included girls' bright green sweatpants. (They couldn't find guys green sweatpants, so they wore girls' with shorts over them. One guy offered to give his sweatpants to me when he was done with them...but I passed. Thanks...but no thanks.) Most of my speech class did not show up. It is an evening class, so they were probably off somewhere getting drunk. All day everyone was talking about getting drunk, what different beers taste like, which ones make you belch, green beer, pubs...Oy. I gave a thrilling speech about the evils of margarine, and it went better than expected. To cap off the day, my unicycle arrived. : )
- Today...I have mastered the art of riding off a curb on a unicycle. Thus ends my blog post.

Yes, you are lazy at posting. But that's forgivable. What buggs me is when someone has no excuse for not posting!
Did you know that you can type up a post ahead of time, and then set it to be published later? That way in your spare time (if you have any!), you could just type up a line or two and then publish it later. Just a thought.
Oh, was that cake for Jasmine? I think I over heard something about it....Sounds lovely! Did you have any help making the flowers or did you do it all yourself? No, JS didn't put a pic of it up, but if you did, it'd be grand....
Oh, poor SS! I feel for you, I really do! Wretched schoolwork. (I don't think I've ever seen 'wretched' used so many times in two paragraphs! Let's count, shall we? 4 times. It seemed like more.) Black works really well, too. Especially a black Eeyore hoodie with a dull gray Eeyore shirt underneath it.
Greeeeen. I got to pinch JS quite a few times yesterday. And Dad. And 'Jordan' (the 13 yr. old). And Monkey. And Rapunzel. And Mom. :D
Eeew, someone else's sweat pants? yick. He wasn't someone I know, was he?
You or JS or Jonathan ought to teach me to ride a unicycle. I tried to the other day, with JS, but I couldn't get on it very well...I kept going forward and it went backward. :D
I'll see you.....We'll have to get together next week. Our family won't be home this weekend, we're going back down to IA, so we'll have to work something out.
Oh, Jordan's talking to you now, and he just told you to get on here, so I'll go ahead and post this. TTYSoon!
~kiwi~
Are you there? Comment back if you are...
Yes the cake was for Jasmine and no you don't know the dude with the green pants. :)
I'll have JS show me how to post pictures and I'll put a few up. It's my pride and joy. :)
I would love to show you how to unicycle We shoud statr a club. Net week we'll have to get together a lot because i'll be virtually homework-free. :) it will help make up for some of the wretchedness of this past week.
Hie!
ANOTHER club? How many do we have now?
Oh bother...I was typing fast and failed to notice a typo or two...or three...
:D That's okay. I do typos all the time...but it bugs me too.
Do you think you could change the commenting format to make it easier to chat? I could walk you through it if you want....
Quite a few. Perhaps we could just make the unicycle our official mode of transportation for our clubs.
Oh, yes, that'd work. But we'd have to get a few more, as there are only 3 in the neighborhood. D'you suppose they make tandem unicycles? ;D
hehe...that only happens in Dr. Suess. :) Sorry I haven't been posting back right away...your comments don't show up right away. I'm still getting the hang of blogger I suppose.
I have to click on the date to get your comments to show up. Is that normal?
referring back to the changing chatting format that i just now noticed..YES!! HOW DO YOU DO IT?!?
What you have to do is hit 'refresh' every so often. And, if you change the comment form to "Full Page" (go to "settings" then "comments" then "comment form placement," choose "full page" and then hit save), it's a wee little bit easier to refresh and everything.
Ok. I'll give it a go...
You'll have to get on your blog again (or at least hit refresh), and then you just click the comments button at the bottom of the post.
"umm...where is 'settings?' " asked the blogger novice.
Go to your dashboard. That's what comes up when you sign in. The easiest way to do that from your blog is by clicking "New Post" at the top left corner of the blog page. Then, click "Dashboard" in the same corner of the new page.
Go to Settings.
Go to Comments.
It's the 3rd one down. choose the first option.
And then hit Save at the bottom of the page.
there you go! Yay You!!!
yahoo!
So what are you up to now? (other than chatting with me ;)
I'm supposed to be doing schoolwork, I think, but Mom didn't give me all the materials needed....and she's out now. So I can't do it. :)
I love excuses.
Yes, a good excuse is a valuable thing. : ) Well, today I'm being rather lazy...went to class this morning, Mocha moment after that to do some homework, came home and rode my unicycle off the curb for a while. *sigh of contentment*
Ho hum.
We need to find a lot of time to get together next week....and practise that play-that-has-no-name. Why did I go ahead and memorize the whole thing if I don't even get to do it yet?
Does Jonathan's vacation time overlap yours? Or will we have to work on it without a lead actor?
Sadly, Jonathan is on break NOW, which is why he got to lollygag around going to symphonys Sunday. Ugh. But we can still do it without him even if it won't be as slick.
Ah. He answered the phone yesterday when I called w/ a message for Jordan, and I was quite surprised to hear him! So he only gets one week? Too bad he couldn't transfer some of the Winter Break time to Spring Break.
I guess we can practise without him.
Rapunzel hasn't even started memorizing lines yet! She says she will when she needs to.
Oh, and I noticed I've started using "bother" a lot more since memorizing Jonathan's line "Oh, bother. Where could she have gone?"
LOL!
LOL, that's funny! I say it a lot when I play volleyball. See, in my volleyball class, most people swear when they mess up. I screech "BOTHER!!" People think I'm odd.
Now it's starting to 'bother' me when I repeatedly say "Bother!"
Isn't that awful? I'm getting bothered by bothers.
Well, we are in good company. Winnie the Pooh says it quite often.
Yeah.
Hm. So how'd speech class go yesterday? (I know, it was wretched, but HOW wretched was it?
Actually, it went better than expected! I didn't mess up terribly, and I didn't lose my place. I did when I practiced it for my family, and it stressed me out. I thought sure I'd lose it when I was trying to explain the butter-making process to a bunch of bored classmates...but I didn't and they actually liked it. :)
So why exactly IS margarine bad for you?
I remember when I was little, my grandma M. told me not to use too much butter (they used real butter) because it'd clog up my arteries and eventually kill me.
Boy, what a way to deter me from butter for a LONG time!
I could give you a thrilling speech on the subject...but in a nutshell it's bad because the oils in it are hydrogenated to force them to stay solid at room temperature. Hydrogenated oils are bad because the hydrogenation process creates trans fats. Trans fats are bad because they raise LDL cholesterol, thus raising heart-attack risk. There you have it. : )
Ah. I get it now!
No, I don't. But never mind. :)
Whell. (don't you love 'well' spelled like 'whell'? I do that with 'whow', too. that's the Aussie way of spelling 'wow.')
I wish we could get together today, since you're obviously not doing anything important, but Jordan and I have to 'stay home' 'cos I was three minutes late. Which I wouldn't have been had Jordan left your place right away, instead of waiting and then calling me and telling me to call Mom for him. Hmph.
It's so nice to shift the blame a little bit!
Bother. :(
I suppose I'll have to do the ever "important" task of showering soon, so I can be presentable for Bible study...how's that for having important stuff to do?
...and I suppose I ought to get back to the math homework. *sigh*
Yeah, same here. Maybe if we both go shower now..... and I check my homework and see what else needs to be done.... and if nothing else needs to be done..... and I check with Dad and he says okay...... maybe then we could get together over here! D'you think that'd work for you? I'd give ya a call if it worked out for us....
Oh, homework. Ugh. Detestable stuff.
I don't know if I'll be able to because my homework might take too ong, and I'm going to have to go to the other side of town and get Jonathan from the bus and perhaps run some errands before Bible study. the good news is that tomorrow is my last day of class before spring break 'cause I don't have class Friday. ; )
Oh rats. WHY DOES YOUR SPRING BREAK HAVE TO START WHEN I'M NOT GONNA BE HERE???
Sorry for yelling.
So you have time to post on your blog, ride a unicycle, and do all that other stuff, but not come over here? Hmph.
JK! You took the time to chat with me here. That redeems you.
I should let yo go then, since you have so much to do.
I'll talk to you later?
Jolly good! When do you leave and when do you get back??
We leave sometime Friday, possibly in the morning, 'cos it's 3 hours down there, and we get back sometime on Sunday, probably in the evening. And then Monday is (!!!) my birthday (!!!), but from the way things look, we might not be doing anything terribly fun. I think all the birthday stuff will take place on the weekend, and then Monday will just be blah. :(
ooo, sweet! the 40th comment!
yahoo!! Happy early birthday!! Well I hope to see you soon then, and if not before you leave, I hope you have a lovely trip. See ya!
Bye.
*will need to get Kiwi a present so she doesn't feel "so glum and sadly"*
*hopes over to ShortStuff's blog to add something happy in her dull tax-related work day* That was hilarious.
Should I feel bad for laughing "at" your pain? Or, er, wretchedness?
Just know that doing so will just make me more wretched. *sob*
